D wanted something very special to give to her friends who were expecting their first baby this summer. We went to the Quilter's Coop where she picked out the fabrics to make this Hayseed pattern. She did a great job of it. Special thanks to Sherri for making it a fun experience for my non-quilter daughter! After the shopping and more assists from several of the "Coop" gals, a charming quilt was born. John and Stacey were VERY surprised and pleased with the quilt! Much joy comes with gifting a new family with a quilt. D was pleased! There are photos in my archive of them with baby Jack all wrapped up in his quilt.

That is such a lovely quilt Kim and your header looks wonderful. Stillmeadows, would that be the name of your property?
ReplyDeletethat quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour blog banner is fantastic! I love that sage green in your hayseed quilt and I love the way you have arranged it on the fence. Just beautiful. I need to get my blog prettied up. I'll have to wait until the Christmas holidays start in December so I have some 'free' time.
ReplyDeleteHow'd you ever get that quilt to stand like that in front of your fence? You must be some kind of "gull danged Houdini" or somethin'. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! Your animals look like sweeties. Lucy Lou is especially adorable!!
ReplyDeleteVERY pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt was such an honor to receive this quilt. I can't tell you how blessed we feel to have such wonderful people in our lives like you and your hubby. Baby Jack sleeps with this quilt every night (we do have to fold it a few times) but I think it makes him sleep better. We sure do love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt and the way you have it arranged on the fence ... great banner!
ReplyDeleteSuch a charming quilt - it's says just what quilting is all about - no need to have complications when simpler is better!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have 'the gift' for presentation, layout, making things look pretty!
This quilt is just charming - in this case, simpler is the best result - who needs complicated blocks when this is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have 'the gift' for presentation, making things look pretty in your photos. Thanks for the inspirations.
