A Little Bit of Hawaii...

Kay and Fred are busy celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii, but they took time to choose an orchid from Orchid Alley in Kapaa, Kauai and had it shipped to me, their favorite quilter! This is very special. I LOVE flowers and I have never had an Orchid of my very own. Thanks! Fred and Kay, enjoy Hawaii!

  1. That is just so beautiful! I have no clue how to care for an orchid. Good luck.

  2. That IS a beautiful Orchid plant (sadly couldn't give advice on how to care for it...I'm horrible with plants of ANY kind....I've even killed cactus...) Anywho, how nice of them to think of you while they are on Kauai!!!

  3. What a gorgeous orchid! And such a thoughtful gift. I understand orchids are easy to care for. I keep thinking I'll venture into orchid-tending but haven't done it so far. ~Adrienne~

  8. How pretty! I would know nothing about keeping it alive. lol If you are half as good at gardening as you are at quilting it will flourish for years to come.
