This is their Quit Minnesota quilt for the 2008 Shop Hop
Each shop made up bags, table runners and wall quilts out of
the MN fabrics. They did a nice display.

A peek at a shop and display in one of the FORTY FIVE quilt shops that Tom and I visited in the past two weeks. Each shop from Duluth to North Dakota (just had to cross the line) was unique with a personality of it's own. Some shops did not allow photos, but from those who did I have photos to come! I saw the sweetest shops and met some of the nicest folks along the way...Stay tuned!!

How cruel of Tom to drag you to see all those quilt shops :) It is nice to hear from you again.
ReplyDeleteKim... I wanted to do this hop! We live in Wisconsin and I know there are a lot of shops in Minnesota.... do you have a printout or a listing? I wanted to drive up through Duluth. I also heard of the shop hop around Lake Superior, but wasn't sure about that one... long way!
ReplyDeleteYou were such a good sport to put up with that man! he he he
ReplyDeleteForty-five shops in 2 weeks? WOW.
ReplyDeleteBear Patch is one of my favorites! I'm looking forward to see the others that you went too.
You poor thing, what a meanie not only did you have to go to 45 shops but you had to buy fabric too? That must have been rough :) I can't wait to see all the pics!
ReplyDeleteLooks like youve been doing some traveling of your own there. That shop looks great.
ReplyDelete45 shops, oh my gosh, poor you having to be dragged around and forced to shop....lol...
ReplyDeleteSounds like a blast! I love that store.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this a fun event! I was able to complete 3 sections and found lots of great shops and fabric. My husband encouraged me to go on my day off to do some more shops and who am I to argue with such logic!
ReplyDeleteI hear next year they will be doing blocks again like the year #1, instead of quilt patterns. Both ideas have merit and drawbacks. Now to find time to sew! (Here is the web site:

This looks like so much fun! Can't wait to see all of your fun pics. We need to see what you were "forced" to purchase too!!!!
ReplyDelete45 shops!?!?!? wow-wee! I would have loved to visit half that many. I made it to Perham (my sweet hubby sat in the car reading for nearly an hour) and I was pretty happy about that. :)
ReplyDeletewhich shop was your favorite?
I love that shop in WBL. I just don't get there very often. Glad you had such a successful shop hop. Wowie!! And a great hubby to do that with you! I'm looking forward to seeing your continued photo journey.
ReplyDeleteFORTY-FIVE SHOPS!!!! I'm soooo jealous!! We only have about five in whole Iceland! :) - I would love to go on a shop hop like that!
ReplyDeleteOh you lucky girl! Two weeks of touring quilt shops??? Could it get any better?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rich colors in those quilts.
ReplyDeleteAnd the exterior of this shop is such a contrast to the storybook cottage of the next post. I like the urban look of this one too--the red banner really stands out.
