Tom and I learned (about two weeks ago) that our friend Bob has pancreatic cancer . This Tuesday, Bob's surgeon attempted surgery to remove the tumor, but he discovered more cancer than originally thought existed. He was not able to remove the tumor from the pancreas, the liver and other areas are now affected as well. Needless to say, times are very sad here at Stillmeadow. We are worried beyond words for our friend. It is difficult to comprehend what is to come. If you pray, please send up a word or two for Bob, Jane and their boys...they need a miracle.

Oh, I am so sad for you all. I will say a prayer for him.
ReplyDeleteJust said a prayer for them. These things are so sad.
ReplyDeleteBelieve! Miracles happen. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your worry Kim. Our family has been touched by that disease, so we know something of what you are going through..
ReplyDeleteWe will pray for God to take care of your friend and his family in the best way possible.
Tough times.....
Kim,
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to know what to do for loved ones when one faces such life challenges. My thoughts are with you all- One can only hope for the best and enjoy the time that you have together. A dear friend taught me to look for beauty in daily things as her world got smaller by her health issues. I did not know what to say to her and often felt powerless to do anything for her- After a time, I began just to spend whatever time I could with her. We watched funny movies together and I learned how to be a better listener. She lost her battle after two years but we had two good years of friendship that I will always treasure.
Live, laugh and love together as long as you can.
Hugs to you all,
Anna
Miracles can and do happen!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy and treasure each moment that you have together.
Hang in there, my friend! (((((HUGS)))))
