Momma Makes Progress...

Momma Robin has settled in with FOUR beautiful blue eggs to keep warm and cozy while the MN temps are still down in the low 40F's to 60F's.

The color of her eggs has me wishing for fabric just like it. Could you see that blue with browns, maybe add some pinks, toss in the color of the nest material. An EQ6 design...

GONE FABRIC SHOPPING.

Inspiration provided by Momma Robin. Color copyrights are totally owned by the Robin Family.

Have a GREAT weekend everybody!

No Boat Access Allowed...

This gives new meaning to "No Boating Access". A Robin family has taken to building their home on the winch of Hubby's boat. This might have been a struggle considering it's the newly opened season, but he loves birds more than he likes to catch fish! Soft hearted guy he is...lucky thing for those goofy birds!

Happy fishing to those of you who were water ready in time for the this seasons opener. Looks like we'll be in dry-dock for a while!

Thank you Julia...

A "Happy Birthday" gift from my friend Julia. She sent two "Little Pretties" Charm Packs by RJR Fabrics, a handmade (by her) dishcloth (love those!) and M&M's to keep me sweet and sassy!!

Julia has kept close tabs on me this week (as many of you have, thank you) and I really appreciate her cheerful and upbeat attitude! You know the old saying "We get by with a little help from our friends"...even more true as we get older. Shh...don't tell Julia I told you this but she is an entire month older than I am, she's OLDER older!

Flowers always bring a smile...

Thanks for the hugs and flowers, Mom!

Gingersnaps, Quilt Camp and Ginger Cats...

This is the quilt that I started at the Camp Chicagami Quilters Retreat that I attended a month ago already! A scrappy looking quilt called Gingersnaps by Moda. Bought the kit a couple of summers ago and decided it was time to cut into the yummy Moda fabrics! It's easy and a great project if you need something that doesn't require much "Focus Pocus Power" that might distract you from gabbing with the fabulous quilter gals who shared this fun weekend retreat.

Sue (blue shirt/light vest) is on the left side listening in while Wendy over on the right (center) is asking questions of the quilters who are working on the Square Dance quilts. The quilt tops are squares sewn together (borders too) as the pink and orange above, then a template is used to cut it up again so it can be re-sewn to look like this. This turns out to be a beautiful quilt top! Wendy and Sue are fellow Quilters Coop (LQS) Quilters.

Back to the story...
This block reminds me of the kittens over at Ginger Patches. They found three tiny kittens, somehow they were left behind in their back yard a few weeks ago and they match this fabric nicely! Now, rather than thinking about cookies when I look at this quilt I think of tiny orange kitties. Lower cal thoughts...you know how it is.

There are other things brewing in the sewing room, but no actual sewing going on for a bit. Can't wait to be back among the land of the quilters. Big hugs to all of you and happy quilting!!

Under the Weather...

Hello everyone! I've had some health issues the past few weeks, nothing major, just annoying things that slow me down from my daily life and posting here at Stillmeadow Quilting.

I have been out and about in blogland, visited here and there to keep up with all of you. There's a lot of good quilting and fun times going on out there! Brings a smile to my face and happiness to my heart to hear all the latest. Thank you to all of you for the good things and good times that you share.

Big Hugs.
