Made a little something to celebrate Independence Day ~ an especially special day this year and the pillow looks good on the front porch rocker! I used some pre~tea dyed muslin for the border...love that fabric! I gave that grungy old rocker a fresh coat of paint, too.
I found the flag panel that I used in this pillow at the Minnesota Quilters Show and Conference (Duluth) last month.

This quilt was on display at the show ~ All carefully pieced for a pretty good likeness of our President Obama. I like the borders that she used, her choices resulted in a festive looking quilt.
Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate!!!

Such a cute cushion and an amazing quilt!
ReplyDeleteI just counted the flags in the yellow on that quilt and there are 49. Too bad she couldn't squeeze in another one. Love that cushion on the rocker. I need to get my metal chairs sandblasted before I can repaint them and get them on the front porch.
ReplyDeleteThat pillow just says HOME. And that quilt says, yes, this country feels like home again.
