Quilt Arrived in CA :-)

"A beautiful surprise, Kim! One I will treasure forever. I feel wrapped in a sunbeam and each stitch is a hug! THANK YOU, my dear!"
Tiamo,
Mom

You may have gathered from my last post that I was not intending to keep this quilt for myself. The quilt was already on it's way to CA to live with my mom and I wanted to surprise her so didn't let the cat out of the bag. She loves it!! Loves the cozy warm and vibrant color that it brings to her favorite reading spot. It's made sturdy so she can share it with her kitty friends, Max and Misty. I also tucked in a package of homemade Anise Pistachio Cranberry Biscotti ~ I made it just the way she likes it. Gosh but it feels good to surprise someone special. Real good!

Glad you love it Mom!

  2. Homemade biscotti. Something different. Not something I ate growing up and hadn't thought about it being homemade.

  8. Very pretty quilt!! Did you do the top quilting as well? It's quite striking. I just purchased a bunch of very primitive but bright colors for my husbands next quilt. I won't start it for a few weeks yet but I will get it started before too long. Lovely work. Hugs. Tammy

  12. Lovely choice of music, in addition to your lovely quilts. I'm still wanting to make the quilt on the fence, in your header - so pretty and gentle. 8-)

  15. Kim... you are just the sweetest daughter! Moms don't often get real surprises, as you know.
This is the first time I've noticed the poem on your sidebar, too. It is neat! Thanks for the read.
