I decided against borders ~ it's quilted, washed and done! I am content with it and happy to have finished. Ahem, better later than never, right?

Sunday afternoon...the center of my Schnibbles Quilt is ready for the first border.

Saturday ~ I ran out of sewing time earlier this evening, but what a fun day we had today! If anyone is around to do more sewing tomorrow I'll be here working on my project.

Wow! The four-patch really pops out of this square...will be interesting to see how it looks once the strip pieced blocks are attached. BTW ~ we are experiencing some rain, snow and then drizzly snotty rain, so if I disappear from the Internet it will be due to power failure.

Good morning everyone! I've cut up Sent With Love using the Schnibbles Nash pattern. I've started to arrange the fabric so the sewing can begin!

My goodness but I was surprised to see a package from Carol. Again! I'm getting the idea that she really enjoys this surprising people thing that she does so well! Tucked inside with the fabric is this cute valentines card where she wrote a nice note telling me that she thought I could use something cheerful to brighten my cold and gloomy winter days. You can't help but feel cheered by this fabric. To make things even more interesting she tucked the Nash Schnibbles (or is it Schnibbles Nash?) pattern inside, so now I have a project for the Friday Night Sew-In! I am all set to join Carol and several other quilters for a weekend of fun! Yay! Thank you, Carol!

This next pattern was also a surprise that I found in the mail today. Yeah, a day of fun surprises! Mary, our friend over at Quilt Hollow sent Decoy! I had strongly admired this Schnibbles design when she posted it on her blog, so she sent it on to me. Thank you, Mary! It's a very good thing that Mary sent this pattern cause I need yet another project to sew during Carol and Amanda's joint Get It Done Sewing Retreat! The retreat is coming up in March ~ be sure to check it out. I hope you can join the fun.

Snow Folks ~ Some Stitchery Fun

I made this Snowfolks stitchery a while back and still enjoy seeing it displayed in our home. Turning stitched blocks into pillows is a quick and easy way to finish a stitchery project and a fun way to add some color and whimsy to your home. I leave an opening in the pillow back so I can switch out the pillow cover by making little pillow shams.

I like the binding edge finish on this pillow. Gives a nice separation line between the front and back and I like the quilt look. I made this a pillow sham cover, too.
